Pneumatic Actuator

A pneumatic actuator uses a cylinder or diaphragm to build processing power. Air pressure in the upper section drives the diaphragm or piston, moving the valve stem or rotating the quarter-turn drive. Rack-and-pinion is the most common design.

Pneumatic ball valves combine a ball valve with a pneumatic actuator for remote and automated control. Because pneumatic actuators convert energy without ignition or electrical power, they are widely used where sparking and combustion are unacceptable.

Pneumatic butterfly valves use the same principle on quarter-turn butterfly bodies — well suited to low-pressure, large and medium pipelines.

Entellus Tech is a leading supplier, distributor and stockist of pneumatic ball and butterfly valves of leading brands.
